Denise Adams, Director - After celebrating 36 wonderful years making music with the Morton Civic Chorus, Denise certainly didn't anticipate the two silent years of the pandemic. Fortunately, the Kidney Fund Benefit is up and running again. Encore 2022 even returned to Morton High School at the Bertha Frank Center. It was a delight to use this beautiful performance space. Encore 2024 is Denise Adams' 38th year directing the Morton Civic Chorus in its annual fundraising show for the Central Illinois Memorial Kidney Fund. In that time she has taught at Roosevelt Magnet School, Washington Gifted School, 16 years at Woodruff High School, Peoria High School, and Kellar Primary School. She has watched three kids grow from infants into young adults, welcomed three grandchildren (Marcy, Lucia, and Vincent), and she has loved helping the Morton Civic Chorus grow in musical wisdom and stature, always with the goal of raising more and more money for people with chronic kidney disease throughout central Illinois. Denise thanks all the dear singers for their dedication, and you for your support.
